Black gloves are fine - and are much better unless you have amazing hands when you ride!!
You can ride in pretty much any colour - although one time when I forgot my gloves and had to ride in my purplr magic gloves I did get some funny comments from the judges!!
You do have to wear gloves of some kind though.
(if it is being run under BD rules anyway!)

Its unaffiliated!

Me and my friend currently have one pair of white gloves between us and i have a black pair at home was wondering if i could wear those as we wouldn't have to swap then!

Unaffiliated I would say you could get away with most colours, black would definitely be fine. I did alot of dressage writing last year and saw all sorts of colours and styles of gloves

As others have said, they dont need to be white; infact, unless you have very good hands, id avoid white gloves at all costs. The colour draws spectators eyes to your hands
