I have noticed a mark on my horses face, I don't remember it being there before but have noticed it since he has had a grazing muzzle on.
I initially thought it was where the muzzle had rubbed him, but now I think it is just more noticeable because the muzzle has rubbed away a little bit of hair making it more obvious.
At first I thought i could be a sarcoid, however, after looking at images online, it doesn't seem to resemble one.
The skin is normal colour and smooth, but slightly raised like a birth mark would be. It is very small, maybe less than half the size of a penny.
Vet is coming out in a couple of weeks for his vaccinations so I will get him to look at it, but wondering if anyone could shed some light on if horses get skin marks that aren't sarcoids??
