Do horses have varicose veins?

I wondered if anybody could tell me if horses have varicose veins? I have brought my horse in from the field and he has a large swollen vein on the inside of his hind leg, no swelling anywhere else and only on the one hind leg, he is not lame. Thanks.

Yes dexter has them and it was mentioned on his vetting with scott dunn himself, along with cellulite! He's a bit fitter these days.. the veins that run down the inside of his legs are swollen after a night in or hard work but do go down when pottering around the field.
