Do horses muzzles go grey with age?

Numpty question I know, but I just wondered, and if so at what sort of age do the grey hairs start to come through?

Yes. I suppose it's a bit like people - what age do they go grey at. My horse is 28 & her muzzle started going grey when she was about 25/6

Captain is 15 and starting to grey around the muzzle. Could it be to do with their colour? He is chestnut.

I have a 20 year old TB and her muzzle isn't grey at all yet.

Yep, I know a 14 year old bay and he's starting to go grey round the muzzle.

My old boy is 27 and looking "distinguished". He also has grey flecks through his coat. He is a dark bay. Awww. Makes me a little sad.

CrazyFriesian I sort of know how you feel, my beautiful dog has just started getting a grey muzzle and it made me think about my horses, then I got all sad about it!

I've never seen a horse with a grey muzzle but obviously it does happen so thanks everyone.
