Hi all!
I have been told by people on my bus (who I sit next to) that I stink and cannot sit next to them:confused:. I haven't been told was but I assume its horses or they are just been idiots. So two questions - 1. What would you do? and 2. Does the smell of horses linger even after a shower or two?
Thanks in advance x:)

hAHHAAHAHAHAHHA what delightful people! the smell doesn't stay after a shower, but maybe its soaked into your clothes? do you wear the same jacket at the yard and on the bus? it might be something that simple!

Don't wear anything that I wear to the yard on the bus except underwear perhaps:p They've already tried with the jacket - apparently the smell made one of them throw up at home

maybe you fart without realising and that's why everyone hates the smell?!?!

I've had my mare for 13 yrs and I've never been told I smell of horse! expect for my mum moaning about my riding jacket if I bring it indoors!

Sounds like someone is trying to wind you up, really. I've gotten on a bus straight after being around the horses, and I've never even gotten so much as a sideways glance let alone people refusing to sit next to me. Horse smell is awesome anyway, and if you ask me it doesn't linger long enough. My husband might disagree, but he doesn't get a vote. ;)

Amazing that the smell made one of them sick, yet they were courteous enough to wait until they got home to throw up.

Is your horse on straw? Sometimes the smell of ammonia on straw can linger in your hair, maybe.

But mostly I think your friends (school?) are just being mean- maybe chuck a bottle of body spray/ perfume in your bag and give yourself a quick spritz before you get the bus? (not too much though!) :)

Horsy smell does linger in my hair (or so my husband says!). I use baptiste dry shampoo in between washes :-)
