I sadly have to put my horse down who has been diagnosed with Wobblers.

Do Hunts still take horses for meat for the hounds? Do they charge? I am particularley interetsed in the Puckeridge as it is my local hunt. Please PM if better.

Thanks

Best bet is to give kennels a ring. If they do not then they will know who does.

Sorry to here you are having to do the horrid task though.

I know the Fitz still do fallen stock & I think they put down horses. Have had dealings with George Adams before, very professional. Gave horse a polo and it still had it in its mouth when it hit the ground.

CombatClaire will have the details, or it'll be on their website.

I have a feeling that the Puckeridge do still run a flesh round, you could also try the Stour Valley Beagles, the Oakley or the Fitzwilliam depending on what part of East Anglia you live in. They tend to charge less than a commercial knacker would and always offer a professional service.

Yes Puckeridge def do. They dispatched my old mare 18 months ago. Cost was £180 inc collection, approx 15 miles away fron the kennels.

They were very respectful of her and very caring. They were job done and gone within 15 mins and also made a goos attempt to clean up the mess.
