My mare stopped her bute yesterday according to her veterinary plan after a ddft tear, however she has started limping (she did have an op so i guess it understandable) the op was 2 weeks ago- is this something to be worried about?
My mum wants to put her back on bute and says she is giving her some in the morning but i'm not sure it is a good idea as i think pain is there for a reason and initally the pain would need to be stopped as it would have been bad after the op, but now maybe Summer should know how much she can use the leg? or it will get injured further.. but my mum says she is on box rest and restricted movement anyway so why not make her comfortable- i agree with both sides but i dont know what to do :|
