Hi All,
(was previoulsy called Madabout - if you remember me)
Well finally after 4 horseless years I am back in the saddle ... now my dilemma ...
Pre to that period I was heavily into dressage (yep I am a control freak!) and also had thefinances and time to put into owning competition horses, paying professionsals to compete at the Nationsals whilst playing at the bottom myself - Made to Pet plan and was placed at Novice. (That was my limit).
Was very much trainer dependent and scared to jump or even hack!!
Over the last year I have started again (mainly to "do" something with my daughter). I am happy to hack including galloping over stuble fields (a big thing for me) and have started jumping only weeny but have done combinations and a mini course....
Now at my yard has turned up a very nice Sec D. Mare 12 yrs old. Can be strong when hacking (as had head blown hunting last season) low mileage falt work, fabulous manners in stable etc and jumps bigd
The current Mr Ingledew (keep him on his toes!!) has discussed her and me with my instructor and they both think she would be fun and good for me ....
plus Mr I is prepared to buy her and put her on livery there for 6 months to a year whilst we build a relationship.
The theory from both of them is sound and I do likethe mare though her paces are less than I am used to she is very sweet and does try ....
What are your thoughts?
And if I were a horse I would be a cox, not particularly athletic, short coupleD, brave if I thrust you with the odd strop! ( and of course you'd love me to bits!!)
