I'm taking Missie to do two affiliated prelim classes on Saturday - our first ever 'proper' dressage competition! Do I need any form of number cloth/bridle number holder? Or do they just give you a tie on number like at unaffiliated? Sorry, I'm a bit clueless, and it doesn't say in the Rules...!

Also is it ok to wear a cream/light-coloured stock with a hacking jacket and beige breeches? Or would the navy blue spotted one I normally wear be better?

thank you!

You will need to have a bridle number and wear your coloured stock with the hacking jacket and most of all good luck and have fun!

I *think* you do need a bridle number or number on saddlecloth.

You could ring BD and ask them. I would have thought you do need it. I did when I did prelim a couple of months ago

Just as well I asked about the bridle number!!! Our local saddlery shop doesn't sell them so I'll have to order one from BD and hope it arrives by Saturday!

Can anyone tell me where I might get a saddlecloth number? Do they attach to any saddlecloth or do you need a special one?
thanks

My bridle disc came the next day from BD. They are generally very good at getting things sent out same day (or maybe I've been lucky

Here's a saddle cloth number: Inch's Saddlery (last item)

I got mine from my local tack shop and it attaches by velcro, you sew on the non-hook part (sorry don't know the proper term!) and then just attach the number part to that. I'm sure the one in the link is the same.
