Hi, Sorry for another feed post but the pink powder thread from a while ago got me thinking again.
Red is TB ex racer
5 yo
15.1
Cribs
Currently fed:
Adlib haylage
1 x feed (pm) of 2 scoops of alpha a oil
Pink powder
1 x suceed (digestive supplement on trial)
Sarc -ex
Turnout 7am -4pm daily
Current work rate is low due to cr*p weather but he is schooled or hacked for at least 45 mins 2-3 times a week in bad weather and 5 times in less windy and wild times. Hacks aren't mad, not masses of canter in schooling, mostly trot work. Also try to squueeze in a 15-20 min lunge session as one of the schooling sessions.
He isn't always the greatest do-oer and he could do with a bit more weight on him. I'd feed twice a day but he refuses to eat on a morning before he gets turned out. I was considering either switching to a balancer or to SS Total Eclipse, failing that keep him on his current feed and add linseed to it. He can be sensitive to feed and go loopy (build up mix is one) and I am trying to go for a fibre based/low starch feed to keep the cribbing down....
Any recommendations/thoughts welcome and thanks in advance
