I share a field with one other girl, who has 2 ponies. We agreed when they all went in together that I would poo pick on a Wednesday, and she would do either Saturday or Sunday, which we were both happy with.
I know if we were doing it by ratio, it should be me doing one to her two, but decided that would cause too much hassle, and I cant be bothered to be that anal about it!
But last week, don didnt go out Sunday, Monday, tuesday or wednesday, so i didnt poo pick. I have gone out there today to find it hasnt been done for I would say 2 weeks. Instead of 2thirds of a barrow, I had 3 1/2. So basically she has missd this weekend just gone.
Do I say something, and risk causingan upset, or leave it and just get over feeling like I am being taken advantage of?

I think it's irrelevant that your horse didnt go out. Weds is your day for poo picking.

So no I wouldn't say anything.

Do you think her not doing the weekend is in response to your not going out? Just talk to her & clear the air. Right or wrong at least explain the reason you didn't do wednesday was because your horse hadn't been out there. It may be she's currently thinking its unfair you missed your day. Get it sorted before it does become petty.

I think I'd give her the benefit of the doubt as it sounds like this is the first time but pull her up on it if it happens again but don't forget your end of the bargain I'd still poo pick if mine didn't go out because if I had an agreement.

You only get two thirds of barrow from three horses/ponies after three days!!! I get full barrow after one night for two horses!

Me too - 1 big barrow per 24 hours from 2 horses! Have to poo pick daily or there's a mountain! What is your secret to having so little poo?!

Tronk, I really dont know!! Its great as they only poo in 3 different areas of the field as well!
I was told back last winter that she hadnt been poo picking when we were in a different field, its was an odd set up then, we had half of a field during the day, then 3 other horses had the whole field over night. i thought she had been poo picking at the weekend, but it turned out one of the other owners had been doing it. I didnt say anything then as I didnt really know who to believe,(she and the other owner have issues between them).
So, maybe I am over reacting a bit about this. I really dont want to cause bad feeling, but on the other hand, I dont want to be walked all over either.

Those that don't poo pick rarely change into avid poo pickers. You could mention it, but if you've missed your own slot she has a reason to come back with an argument. I'd have done it on the Wednesday whether the horse was out or not, he'd already been in the field for 3 days afterall.

i have the agreement with my livery/friend that i poo pick in the week and she does weekends (we do it daily). I have 3 and she has 1.
They all have individual paddocks.
even if mine didnt go out i would still do her paddock and if hers didnt go out im 100% sure she would do mine on sat and sun because thats the agreement.

i think i wouldnt say anything this time, would make sure you always do your day, and if she misses it again THEN you can say something.

I am not gonna say anything this time. Maybe some see I was wrong not to do my wednesday, not too sure I agree as I think I do more than my fair share, but hey ho. live and let live!
