I've been thinking today, is it time I ought to sell it loan gypsy out? Is there anyone who would want a 13.3 cob that [sometimes] maybe unpredictable. he's super in company and will do funrides and everything but not suitable for a child. I have exams coming next year and bit alot of time for him as he needs regular riding. I have been offered a horse on loan over the summer as the man hunts it in the winter, ideal for me but I can keep 2.
I'm really stuck on what to do as gypsys like family to us but I'm too big for him (height not weight) but would anyone actually want him?

I would keep him, if your weight is not an issue and you still enjoy riding him then why not? I have loaned two horses out to people who I knew and it was fine but there are also horror stories. And you have to consider what you would do if the loaner says they can't keep them anymore as you may end up with two horses!

He sounds like the kinda horse/pony I would be looking to loan at the moment. So i am sure there are lots of people out there for you. :)

Good luck x

He was up for sale last year and we had 1 phone call and that was it, we spent £50 advertising and £150 sending him off to be schooled before anyone came to view him :/ he's great really, a fantastuc jump on him and is getting there with cross country (taken him a couple of times to the local xc and we went fab over them! He's super safe in company on a hack, we go to the local forest an have a gallop around and jump the fallen down trees :D
I love riding him but my legs are long and I need a bigger pony, also I want to move onto horses and do some competing once uv done my exams. I just don't really have time for him that he deserves :(

what's he like out on his own? I am probably too fat for him mind! lol
If your looking to loan by september (i'm guessing) then you have plenty of time and I would have thought that the perfect person would come along

At the moment he's fab his own, but I've only been taking him one rout (his fave one) and he goes really well, he would do anything with a capable and strong rider. He's a real weight carrier! My mums (fairly) big and has been on him. :)
