But, believe it or not, today I was offered £15,000 for her - from the person we bought her from, eight years ago, for £3,000. I laughed at first; she's thirteen years old, and has done practically nothing competitively for the last three years, but the offer was serious - I guess a horse is worth what the buyer is willing to pay!

They could have added two zeros to the end, and I'd still never part with her

Madam_Max - we've decided not to jump at Cricklade as I had previously pondered - the ground is never great there, and without going HC, there isnt really anything for us - not the best conditions to stage a comeback! But we might head off to West Wilts clear round session next Tuesday

Irishcobs - dont think we'll be doing the fun ride as I believe it is the same day as Cricklade, where I now appear to have been roped in to help course build! Shame, as the ride sounds lovely!

Winning on a horse you bought for an exceedingly large amount of money: £15,000

Not selling up the horse that you love and adore, no matter the offer: Priceless.

God u scared me then, i was about to lose all faith in the idea of people loving their horses too much to sell. I thought if MizElz is thinking of selling what is the world coming to?!

Phew.

I'm now all heartwarmed, especially after M_H_B's reply

My OH sat there last night and said, "if they added a zero you'd have to think about it, surely!"
