i was thinking of trying my boy in some, hes getting on, has cushings, and very stiff coming out of his stable in the mornings...he has apple cider vinegar at the moment...

I brought a second hand pair as I thought they can't hurt, not sure if there has been any improvement but he has now gone out for the summer so did not wear them for long :)

Made a big difference to my old girl and several other elderly ponies I knew too. Even my vet who wasn't very pro-alternative things admitted he had seen remarkable changes in a particular pony he had recommended be PTS. They are really good for laminitis cases too.

Not sure about magnetic boots but recently startd using Back On Track products and have seen super results. I now really want a set of the leg wraps. Would recommend them.

yes i was thinking about the wraps....

OMG tired tested and AWESOME!!! I have a horse that has arthritis in his right hock, not to bad but there, he is a bit nappy when I get on (he is having injections next week) but anyhoo had a lesson felt like he was going to stiffen up popped his equalibrium magnetic boots on and got on last night he was awesome no spooks and full of the joys of spring, the only difference was the wraps!

I find it's a tricky one.

I've found they either do nothing at all, or seem to help to some degree. However, had the exact same results when using standard boots. I believe it's the cushioning and insulating effect many boots have that provide the joint with a little more warmth, and this causes the horse to appear to be more supple and less stiff.
If you do use them, make sure they don't have the large magnets in that end up being only hard pressure points on the horses leg.

The last time I checked, there was no scientific evidence they actually work beyond a warming effect, however saying that, I have worn a magnetic bracelet for the past 8 years. I suffer aches without it, and yet wearing it, it appears it happens less. It's quite likely a placebo affect but what works, etc. :)

I bought some from Bioflow and they really helped my big lad with his arthritis. I have a magnetic dog collar from them too for my ancient Labrador, and again I have definitely noticed him moving better. My vet actually recommended the collar which I was quite surprised about as she is fairly "old school" in her treatment options!
