do people actually reply to these ridiculous e mails

just received this today as I advertised my horse for sale about a month ago which I have since sold and wondered if anyone ever takes these scams seriously this was the e mail

Hello
I saw your advert via internet that you have your(Horse) for sale which am highly interested in purchasing.So i will like to know thelistedbelow:
(1)the present condition of the (Horse)as of now
(2)the last price you re willing to sell it.However,my terms of payment will be by a certified bank check and dont worry about the shipping i will arrange with the shipping company that will be coming for the pick up at your location... Thanks and hoping to hear from you

I hope not! I did once (with a dif email address!) to say, yeh you can have the horse for 10 grand but cash only which will be banked and checked by police before the horse is handed over......
never got a reply!
 
Some people are just thick or desperate (I remember someone on the forum saying they knew someone who had received an email like this and was going to answer), and others answer just to scam the scammers. Someone posted a link to a website belonging to someone who did had posted all the emails from and to some scammers and they were brilliant.
 
I've had about 10 of these now i cannot actually believe some people actually fall for them.

I got one saying

Hi,
I name is David. I am vere interested in purchasing you item. Please send photo of item and price,

Thank you.

I mean they couldn't even write English and i love the they called my pony an item, yeh like im gonn reply to that, lol.
 
There was a thread on one of my horse forums I look at recently linking to a girl who was having great fun stringing these lot along before informing them that they had been reported
