.....that most other people are stupid because they have encountered so many genuinely stupid people or because they are so stupid that they think they always know best?
I am sorry, but just as I have been saying on another post, that while there seem to be some really lovely people on here, there are some others (and I am actually not thinking of anyone in particular as I do not take much notice of peoples 'patterns' of their replies, just individual ones) whose posts always seem to imply that they have started off with the assumption that the OP is stupid and missing something obvious, or fundamentally 'wrong' in some way. To me, it is obvious that most people are trying to do the right thing, we all have various problems at times and everyone's individual situations, the whys and wherefores, complex circumstances etc mean that every situation is different.
It seems, quite frankly, ridiculous to assume that so many people are either stupid, incompetent or truly deserving of such rich criticism when we are all just human and none of us perfect.
So, do the people who make these kinds of judgements really start off by assuming that most people are stupid because they have had so many encounters with substandard and undeserving humans, or are they missing something vital themselves?
I just wish everyone were nicer to each other... sob...
