Do people loan out ex eventers?
I'm talking about those that can no longer event at their level (or at all) to be 'retired' to dressage homes?

I'm thinking of options here and would quite like an older type that can happily go out and compete at lower levels with opportunity to progress. (not talking PSG ). And I like the idea of giving something older a good home.

So do people loan such horses out or would I be looking for the impossible?

I think they do, often by word of mouth though.
There was a thread recently in CR I think they were asking if anyone would be interested in having an ex-eventer on loan,it may be worth doing a search.
They are not always the easiest rides and usually prefer to do a proper job once no longer eventing so maybe a wanted ad could be worth trying.
Post in CR you may get an offer
