Just realised you have had 30 views and no replies so as one who read, I thought I'd say so! Have seen the comments about salt before but have never actually fed it - though really looks as though I should be. Its just a bit of a weird one as it is so bad for people and dogs!

Great link OP! I'm now really interested in feeding my arthritic TB chia seeds. I currently feed him linseed as it's the only supplement that helps him. Looks like chia seeds could be even better. Does anyone feed chia seeds to their horse?

Great, thanks for posting! A lot I have learned but love the caecum analogy to a tube of toothpaste!
I am very interested in the info on psyllium husk and it being able to lower blood glucose! Something to look into for my one prone to being a fatty!

ps. I looked into chia seeds a while back and could only get them in the chemist costing a fortune, so I stick with good old linseed!
