Hi, I have an issue, I brought a saddle the other day, after riding in it once for half an hr it's triggering my sciatica really badly down my legs, ive never ridden in a dressage saddle before.
Ive only used it once but it had a tiny bit of flocking added when I brought it.

Do you think il be able to get a refund?

i'm currently trying to get a refund for a brand new leather saddle i bought in august. my horse has since had lameness issues and reffered to the rvc who say the new saddle doesnt fit at all. i have written to my saddlers and havent heard back yet

It is brand new yes, don't know what to do, i have enough problems with my back and although it fits him well i doesn't suit me.
Ive also seen another saddle with another company which i prefer, but thay may be tricky if i do ask for my money back and don't buy another through her!

If it was brand new and is not defective then no, it is doubtful they will refund as it has been used so can't be sold as new.If they were to refund you would get very little back for it as it is now secondhand, they may take it as part exchange on another new saddle but again you
will be out of pocket, Oz

This is a different issue, if you can prove by getting independant opinions from different saddler/s that the saddle doesn't fit then you should get a refund but don't leave it too long after you bought it or the original saddler may suggest that the horse has changed shape since you bought the saddle. If you can't get another saddler out try to get a good template of the horse's wither profile in the meantime to act as a record you can put aside incase you need it, every little helps and good luck!
oZ :)

I bought a new saddle, rode in it half a dozen times and had to take it back as it was just terribly uncomfortable for me. I was given a full refund.
The saddler should sell something that fits the horse and rider.
