I hate complaining as a rule..
But I have been looking endlessly for a good allround schoolmaster for sale..
But there are just so few. Every one that I have seen, seems to have a reason or injury for why their workload needs to be decreased..
I would like a nice steady Eddy, who would compete in jumping (1 metre) atleast, and who would equally be capable of doing some elementary dressage, as well as some showing and cross country..I dont care about colour, breed or type, but needs to have a good temperment at shows as well at home.. Im I asking a lot??? Also has to be 16.2ish.
I dont have a fortune to spend, but a sensible amount.
I dont even mind about age as long as he or she is fit and able...
Any ideas, or recommended dealers to try from???

Don't know what to suggest really...are you sure your budget is sensible? What would happen if you increased it? If the horses exist at a higher price bracket then maybe you need to re-think either the budget or the requirements. What you describe is quite a tough horse to find, so I expect that sellers with genuine horses would want a very decent amount of money for them (at the top of my head I would say about 8k plus for a horse fitting this bill between the ages of 8 and 10).

They do exist, but genuine all rounder school masters are super pricey!! It might be worth looking a little higher than your budget to check you are in the right ball park. Are there any aspects you might compromise on that might increase your search?

and you are actually looking for quite a lot as well.. I would agree and say thats going to be around the 8 - 10K mark unless you strike lucky with a very much older horse.

I've got one for sale except she's a bit littler than you wanted! 16hh 11yr old liver chestnut mare, done a bit of everything but mainly show jumped, bred two foals as so nice and very well bred and want 5k for her.

thanks all, Im going to carry on looking, and hopefully, will find something that suits me, I was hoping for something that would do a bit of everything, but excel in dressage, maybe, thats not really that possible"!!!, ah, well, ive got a new pig in the meantime, to keep me going!!!!
