I have tried everywhere on Tont to try and find his itchy spot, but he doesn't seem to have any reaction to a specific place. I groom him daily, but he just stands there looking the same the entire time

Does this mean he just doesn't have an itchy spot?

Thank you, Nicole :)

I tried this with the Big Man when i got him (it took ages what with hiim being so huge and all) and no reaction at all... until his winter coat was coming out and i borrowed a friend's shedding blade. Well! He was in heaven. He doesn't need it at the moment but i still use it when grooming cos he loves it so much, especially on his withers and just above his tail. :D

Have you tried the insides of his legs? I have two who have itchy legs (well one has mild dermatitis to be fair so loves having his legs scratched but i try not to do it to much!). 3 of ours love their bums being scratched but mine (with itchy legs) is not bothered about that. Hmm, thinking about it, I don't think our old TB has any itchy bits to be honest. Maybe some just don't have sensitive areas?

my tb doesnt really have one, when he has a change of coat he likes the rubber curry comb on his bum and neck. but apart from that, if you try and scracth him youd think you had razor blades for fingers ;-) wimpy tb! the mare likes the top of her dock scratched and she likes her ears rubbed from bottom to top.

Jae has to be scratched all over before I can do anything with him, or he will just go crazy trying to get me to scratch him.

I use a hard plastic curry comb and literally scrub him as hard as
I can mostly over his back and rump but also his neck, mane
and his sides. He loves it!! Odd thin skinned chestnut TB lol
His absolute fav spot is on the right hand side of his spine.

He is the itchiest horse I've met although he never scratches himself. He's just a sucker for attention :).

One of my old horses wasn't really itchy.

my mare aprently didnt have one according to a few people but she does, along the mane but its not really an ichy spot more she loves a good rub, i just message her with my fists basically and she goes all gerafe like and twists her top lip also she likes the top of her tail scratchy but dont do it to much and she learns very quickly to shove her bum in my face which is not something i want to teach her lol

lol cute post! I recently found an itchy spot on the chest! most horses enjoy their withers scratched??? if not keep searching! do it nice and hard!

I agree - get right in with your fingers and fingernails - my fingernails are short so I don't worry about breaking them....... If your horse does mutual grooming with other horses, he will appreciate being scratched by you!

well to make up for your horse's lack of an itchy spot, my boy's itchy spot is literally EVERYWHERE! behind the ears, along his shoulder, each side of his withers, centre of his chest, along the centre of his belly, top of his back legs, and his heels (his favourite especially his hinds cos he cant quite reach them to give em a good scratch!) if you start scratching him in the field he won't let you leave, he steps in front as if to say 'no keep going thanks' :)

Ruby likes to be scratched between her hind legs near her bum. She will even lift her tail up and to the side so you can reach it better :p
