Hi,

Not really advice, just interested! As title really!

Only asking as these 2 are my first babies. The spotty one is a bit spooky about things, not alot but a quite cautious and a bit jumpy when scary stuff happens. The bay one isnt scared of much but is more likely to glue herself to the floor for a whole 10 seconds if she isnt sure (like when she went in the truck for the first time!)

They are both total angels (far more sensible than my grown up lot!) but Im wondering what other people experiences are about if they change or stay simular.

ps I do do the whole going and looking/touching/banging with hoof at all the spooky things so shes getting lots better (and really neither of them are bad or any trouble at all, which i guess makes me lucky!)

No I had a very spooky foal/weanling to the point where she went into a blind panic but by the time she was 18 months trusted us & has never looked back

Thats promising then as i think she really trusts me already. If anything shes a bit clingy too me since shes been weaned but if I say somethings ok she does touch it or try to be brave. Its more that shes just jumpy!!

It just sounds as if she needs time to mentally grow up.... keep acting normally & she'll be fine. We do a lot of ground work with our youngsters & that helps their confidence loads. Good luck.

Thanks, she is getting better. Its just interesting to hear what happened to other people.
I have been doing more with them recently. They have been learning to trot up, into my truck with the partitions shut and they saw the showjumps the other day and walked over a pole! They are very good girlies about most things so im lucky

Altho I do want to try and leave them alone a bit when the weather turns a bit nicer
