Do Surrey Equestrian ever answer their phone?

I usualy manage to get through on the phone, but sometimes when they are really busy it is impossible! Try emailing them, you often get a really fast and helpful response. I've always found them really good to deal with.
 
I thought it was just me. When I finally got through the woman was so rude.

I bought a rug through them in the last couple of months and had no problems at all. They were better at correspondance by e-mail rather than the phone, so try that.
 
Don't try the main number - it isn't answered. (And I know exactly what you mean about the rude woman - worse in person!)

I was about to look up the number for the staff upstairs in the equine department - who do answer the phone and are usually really nice -but they've changed thier website and it isn't listed any more. How annoying!

Thankfully I live near enough to drop in. They're going to wreck thier buisness if they aren't careful, which is a pity as, other than that one person, they are usually really really nice and helpful.
 
Totally agree - have used them twice. First order about £200 came in bits and pieces and took 2 months to get the order (they did not tell me that they didnt have the stock). Decided to give them a second chance, ordered some things including a MT tail bandage to match travel boots. Got the other things but was told they didnt have the bandage and it wasnt worth their while to order it an send it to me separately!
 
I've bought from them repeatedly over the past year and each time I've had to wait ages for despatch, something has always been delayed, they've never told me until I've emailed them to find out. I just got so fed up with the last order (not in stock, me chasing them etc etc) that I fired off a stroppy email and said I won't be dealing with them again. They had the stuff I wanted (expensive supplementse etc) at good prices but to be honest the long delivery times and lack of customer service was just not worth the saving. Their loss, I've moved on!
 
Up date, I did get a reply to my email which was insinuating that I was a liar, I had not rung them as their phone line was down, EXCUSE ME.

Basically replied saying I do not like being called a liar and to stuff it as their customer service stinks.

Anyone want to buy a brand new Mark Todd brown headcollar in cob size, was a gift and doesnt fit my horses!
 
when i tried tohone about my late order, the answer machine said dont leave a message but to email. they replied to my email the same day. they are v slow about getting orders out and dont offer next day delivery, however, being the internet bargain hunter that i am, they are the best prices around on most products. so maybe jst order stuff well in advance of when u need it!

I often read this forum but have never felt the need write anything but on seeing this post I felt I should write something!

SurreyEquestrian is raved about by many riders and because of this I went there to have a look about (even though its an hour away from me)

The amount of stock they hold is amazing and they really do have very low prices. The store is stacked with many horse, rider and dog gifts so I thought great lets get the OH credit cards out!!

On arrival the feed board was full of many feeds and the warehouse seemed stacked, but the staff on the front desk looked very bored!!

Upstairs there is a huge selection of horse equipment BUT its all over the place!!

I asked a member of staff if they could find a boot I liked- it was out of stock (shouted across the store!!)
Another boot that I asked for was brought down for me to try, but whilst chatting to the member of staff that was helping she then answered the phone and walked off, she then shouted across the store to another member of staff that they were stupid for not picking up the phone?!

I was a little surprised to find a store of this size would have staff this frightening!!

I did buy the boots but did not want to ask about bridles (which is why I had gone to the store) as I was worried I may get shouted at myself.

I feel its such a shame that a store that has so much potential cannot have the staff to match the products.

I wont be going back and from what I hear unless I order a product a few moths before the show season starts there is no point using their online service too.

Think Ill stick to frogpool!!
