Do wanted ads work?

I think they do work. The site to use really depends on what it is you are looking for. For a competition horse I would use Horsequest and/or a discipline based site like British Dressage. Horsemart gets a lot of hits so worth a try as well.

I think wanted ads do work, yes. A friend of ours put up a wanted ad up on Horsemart and got a fabulous horse as a result.

yeah they do- ive contacted a few people from wanted ads- if you go on a local page (like for hampshire its the NFED.co.uk) Ive been looking on there because advertising means that Im loosing my babba but looking through wanted ads means that I get to choose and its my choice

I've had a wanted add for a coloured filly/ sec D filly on a few sites for weeks and had nothing, but probably due more to the fact that i have limited funds. I expect there may be a bit more interest with winter approaching.

Well, you'll get replies . . . . . but my experience of replying to wanted ads is that the original advertiser never bothers to respond!

I'm phoning about a couple of ads today. If no joy I might try a wanted ad. I just want a reasonably priced straight forward large pony, small horse. Don't mind if it's a bit green so I suppose Horsemart might be the place. There are loads of ads for suitable horses, just not in the right part of the country.

can some one recomend some sites that people put wanted ads up, I have only found one page that there are normal wanted ads not just little 13 year olds wanting rides.
