My 2 ponies both require inhalers particularly during the summer months and as they are standard human inhalers, I would be interested if you can buy them anywhere online for a normal price rather than the vet price (which is approx 4 times the amount!) When we went on holiday to Spain, my boyfriend walks into any pharmacy and buys his asthma inhalers without a prescription or blink of an eye so have considered next holiday being an inhaler buying holiday!

Anyone else buy their horse's inhalers online or from abroad?

I know this is wrong but I suffer from slight asthma - and so does my small pony, last yr she was on a steroid inhaler and a ventolin inhaler both of which cost a fortune at the vets so I told my gp a fib and said my asthma was playing up and I got a load of inhalers off him for me! Ofcourse the ponio ended up with them but needs must when times are hard :-). I get them off friends to.

Either way you need a written prescription, so that will be about £8 depending on your vet. Why not ask a pharmacy how much they charge and see if that's cheaper but I doubt it with prescription charge added. I used to buy in drugs for vets and inhalers are expensive items to buy in!

Hi yes i can get my horses inhaler on line with a prescription from my vet.
I buy flixotide for quite a lot cheaper than the vets price Try Chemist Direct, i have found them very good. Also have a word with your local chemist they may get it for you at a reasonable price mine does.
