That when your reading a thread or a post.. that the poster is a company trying to 'sell' their product.

Just been doing some research on various supplements/products on here and I cannot help but think some posters are actually trying to push products and are not genuine posters at all...Shock horror.. lol

Yes it seems fairly common, I normally have a nosy through the poster's previous posts if I'm not sure. If they are blatantly advertising a product or company you can report them as it breaches forum T&Cs.

yes it appears to happen quite a bit... I think the big players should put their hands in their pockets and pay for some advertising and leave the forum alone! I feel a bit different about the individuals trying to start out though. There was one this morning - Swish rugs or something - and a fellow forum member spotted it was an ad post. Out of curiosity I clicked through to the site and have to say some of the rugs looked quite nice as well as being cheap! It also looked like a one man band company that was just launching so a bit of me wants to be a bit lenient and give them a chance as people like that can't afford to advertise. Just to confirm - I don't know the company and I haven't bought any of their products either! I just admire people who have the guts to take the plunge and set up businesses in competition with the big brands - must be hard.
