Do you sometimes feel that you never can get it right ? Whatever you do .
I think horsey is way too hot in his sweet itch hoody ATM. So have been leaving it off for some periods of time, as new yard is much less midgey , and I don't think he actually has full blown sweet itch.
Today I find that he has managed to rub away quite a bit of hair on his belly , which has made me very worried, he is a fine coated Arab, and always seems to be something wrong!!!!!!
So should I buy him a fly rug which would be cooler, if so what would you peeps recommend?
I am using fly repellents and avon skin so soft.

Good luck hun.

I use the Horseware fly rug on LL, keeps his mild sweet-itch under control, but it protects him from the electric fence, so he'll be out without it on. Will no doubt itch his blasted self to death

It is really hard to know what to do for the best, you either fry your horse in this heat, or end up wit a part bald one!!!!
I will investigate the Horse wear one ..... thanks !

You're welcome hun. Just be warned the HW one is quite thick (suppose it has to be really), and the fit is for a slim neck. I looked at it for the Dizzy one, but she's a hot ned and doesn't suffer too badly from flies (so far anyway).

Not sure what to do, if it is really thick it won't be much better than his sweetitch hoody, which is rambo but does fit very well. He takes a 5ft. 6" rug but some makes are a bit tight around the chest.?
