I recently thought to myself how bad mollichaff smells after being opened for a week. I wonder what is the ingredients in the mollases and are they natural?

That's cherry chaff right? Can't say I've ever experienced it going mouldy for the four years that I've been at the yard. Maybe you've just been unlucky.

if I feed Mollichaff its only Hoofkind or Feelgood afalfa and never had a problem. would sooner feed mollichaff than dengie but then we all have our little preferences. if you had a dodgy bag with mould in it I would take back to the retailers, same as with anything.

I've never had a problem, i've had horses on it for the past 3 years and can't say i've ever noticed it smelling funny, or going off quickly. I prefer it to Dengie too as it doesn't have alfalfa in it.

As a lifelong Dengie fan I never thought I would but I'm now using Mollichaff Veteran as a hay replacer and it's fantastic. Don't be put off by the sickly sweet Original stuff, it's not all like that.
