When you can't ride on weekends?

Had a really busy weekend what with Christmas shopping, yard crimbo do and flying about all over the place which meant I only having time to do the chores/muck out etc, but I hate not being able to hack out on weekends when you school during the week, it gives you and your horse a chance to de-stress and unwind etc, I felt like I had my whole weekend routine ruined just because of blooding Christmas!!!

I nearly burst into tears on my way back from the yard like a spoilt 10yr child just because I couldn't ride

Oh yes...me too.

I hate this time of year- there simply isnt enough daylight ...and theres too much blood rain

...

I get in a pathetic childish mood if I cant ride.....I managed to get out both days this weekend....only for about 40mins each day but enough to test out my new prolite pad (its fab) and stop me winging like a boring old git.

No. Mainly because I don't get chance to ride in the week, so make darn sure nothing gets in the way of me riding at the weekend - well, apart from torrential rain.

my husband knows when i haven't been out riding for a while - my mood gets darker and darker until he says ' i'll look after the kids for a while if you want to go out riding'. and believe me he doesn't like baby sitting! i need to get out just to de-stress! and no i haven't been out much last week cause of xmas shopping - i'll make up for it this week

I think I've just become numb.

But, Daughter has said I may borrow Little Cob to go out with Friend and Wimbles

. This is very sweet of her as she hasn't hacked out from the new place yet. Dizz isn't fit enough and to be honest, I don't know if I'll be brave enough on her

We'll be alright at walk, but anything more than that.... whereas I used to sit quite happily on her faffingness, I don't know if I'll be able to do it now

Sorry, that became a bit of a mini-me moment!

In short hun, I feel your pain

Don't worry - you are not alone.

Any day I can't ride is a waste of a day IMO.

I was on holiday last week and had a hair appointment on Wednesday. It takes about 3 hours to do my hair and I was gutted that it was a nice day and I was stuck indoors.

You're not alone, could probably fill a ward in a suitable institution for us all! I too feel very odd if I can't get out hacking regularly, great therapy and de-stresser.
