Do you go over speedbumps in your horsebox?

I have hired a 3.5t box for a show but the route has a road containing some 10 or so speed bumps, there is no obvious short diversion

Should I be looking for an alternative?

I can't recall offhand if I have driven my 3.5T over speed bumps but feel I must have! If you go very slowly it should be fine, but if you are not used to driving it and are a bit nervous then I think it would be worth seeing if there is a route without them. 10 is quite a lot and you could end up quite fraught!

I discovered this morning that the wheels on my 3.5t van convo fit neatly either side of the humps that are not the whole width of the road

If I didn't go over speed bumps in my lorry I'd never leave the yard, of course you can go over them, just do it slowly and allow the back wheels to roll over them. The weight of the horse will stop the bounce. I actually hate going over the bumps in an empty lorry more bounce and occasionally my gates bounce right out of the hinge.

I'd never get anywhere if I didn't go over speed bumps and they're the totally across the road ones. I'd be more worried about pot holes tbh

Speed bumps are nothing compared to the potholes we navigate to get off our yard!

The half mile long drive at our old yard had about 7 speed bumps along it, so we had to go over them every time we took the lorry out - never a problem

Yes there are a couple on the road to my yard. They are ok as long as you go slowly

Gosh yes, we bounce all over the place ... speedbumps for starters and then the unseen ruts in the parking fields at shows that practically unhinge my jaw ...
