do you have a plan when you go for lessons?

or do you focus on what you find crops up during the lesson?

I've got four lessons booked and I have two horses to choose from, both of which I haven't ridden enough to know well.
i usually have a vague idea of what I want to achieve.

I do usually know what I want to work on, but I know my horses so its easier. If something else is spotted or is a reason for a problem then we will work on that instead but I am flexible and so is my trainer.

Yes always I think you get more value for money that way .
I warm up then tell my trainer whats been going on since the last time I saw her and what I want to work on then we work on it of course lessons go off on there own course but I think it helps to start with a plan.
Of course in a group situation I just take what comes now and again I will have a one to one lesson with a trainer I don't know it which case I try to pick a couple of things to work on .
Each horse has a book which I make notes on each lesson and things to try like a different bit or whatever I refer to the book I between lessons sad I know.
