yes we have outdoor and indoor (when yo decides to move his lorry out of it)
used to be at yards where there wasnt one or it was way too small to use and couldnt go back to that i think it does hold you back and becomes expensive when to have to hire one
Only by travelling 15mins up the road to use the school at work. I can only do this as and when I can get driver (dad) to take me, about once a month. I do feel it holds me back because I can only jump properly at work. I am lucky enough to be able to school in a stubble field behind my field but in a few weeks it will be ploughed.
I did not have access to an arena until I moved to my present yard 3 years ago. Now that I have one, yes its a godsend, but I was at my old yard for 17 years and managed to get up to Elementry dressage, competed NPS/PUK etc and did well without........
Yes, but we didn't when we first moved to the yard. My boy went away for schooling and luckily it was finished not long after he came back otherwise I couldn't of managed without one and I think I would of had to move
I have to pay for one which is a 15 minute hack away and I have a lesson there once a week but I wish I had one at home. I have a grass paddock to school and jump in but there doesn't seem to be many weeks in the year when I can use it, it's either too muddy or too hard.
Nope and yes it would be nice to have one but i see it as a luxury rather than essential. The field i ride in has good drainage and isn't bad at all mud wise so i cope fine
Couldn't cope without a floodlit arena. Although the one at current livery is pissing me off a treat. Deep, uneven 20x40 wood chip - so slippery and very hard to jump in.
Yes, there are 3 at the yard. I used to keep my horse at a place without and tbh, I don't think I could go back to not having one, especially as my boy isn't great at hacking.
I don't have one, but have access to one just over the road, but to be honest, i usually just ride in the field or hack the majority of the time, and cope just fine.
I hire one once a week, about a 15 minute trailer ride, I have always been at livery yards with good facilities until recently - Its the sacrifice I have made to have the horses at home! Its not something I regret either.
yes we have an indoor and an outdoor. We're just in the process of building another 2 for our new competion livery yard as we feel that most owners are wanting them thesedays.
I couldnt cope without one.
Yes, free access all the time. I used to be at a yard without one and feel it held me and horse back quite a lot, we are very good at hacking now though!!
Yes a 20x40, that my lovely Dad had put in about 10 years ago. It does have a flood light but we ride in the day (joys of flexi) so dont use it that often.
