Horse magazine is looking for inspiring real life stories for our next issue. Do you have a remarkable story to tell? Perhaps your or your horse have come through a period of adversity, or does he or she suffer from an unusual veterinary complaint? Or have you achieved success against the odds?

You will need to be available for a telephone interview and a photoshoot at your yard within the next week.

If you are interested in having your story featured in Horse magazine, please email jennifer_hughes@ipcmedia.com with some information about you and your horse, a contact telephone number and your location.

*thinks hard* nope sorry my life is very boring and uninspirational

Good lord, thats a bit harsh. Do you suggest they get the phone book out then and start ringing around ?????

If I was given the task of sourcing suitable stories here is the first place i'd come.

They manage to make it sound a bit like Heat magazine for horses.

Retelling somebody's story with a few pics is all very well, hopefully the editorial will include a relevant input from a vet who specialises in whatever the unusual ailment might be, or a behavioural specialist and the telephone call might involve some slightly more searching questions than 'tell me what happened'

It is just padding otherwise

Well I for one like the true life stories, more so than the boring scientific stuff which if my horses aren't suffering from is of no interest to me at all. If they were suffering from something I would research further and wider than a magazine article.

As they say though no-one has to buy it.

Thanks for your feedback.

We’re always really grateful when people get in touch with us from the forum, whether it’s for masterclass lessons with top riders, real life case studies or sending in photos.

We do put a lot of effort into researching our real life features, and we also interview the horse’s vet when it is relevant to the story.

LHS – glad you enjoy them!

Thanks

Jennie
