...see things in the supemarket/garden centre that AREN'T horsey items but either secretly think what you could use them for or even buy them? :D E.g. If I see a mechanic's tool box/ sowing box I always think "Oh, that could make a new cheap tack box". Or if in the supermarket and there are washing up gloves "They could make good poo picking gloves". :D;)

Yes, I do all the time. Tammytoo if it's the fiskars weed puller you are talking about it's great for ragwort.

As a passenger in a car, I look at the houses with land and outbuildings or businesses and think how they can be adapted to horsey use. Think ohh lovely indoor arena, big stables, nice paddocks etc. How sad is that

Yep , sudocreme, vaseline, shampoos(conditioner to stop mites sticking to hair), jungle formula for insect bites) garden gloves for poo picking, dust pan and brush for after the farrier. Buckets. Obsession with large plumbing water containers (cheaper than galavanised troughs and lighter to move etc.)

Forgot to mention, we bought drainpipes and electricians tape and made them into lightweight jump poles! I also look at houses with big gardens that could be adapted

Me too :)

At work I deliver to mahoosive houses with teeny weeny gardens and think for that money you could of bought a smaller house with a few acres :)

Yup, grooming box is tool box from asda. Bike lights from tesco all over me saddle, no one could ever claim they couldn't see me, ;~), wood pellet bed is bought by the pallet from a garden centre, less vat ;~) feed buckets, water containers all asda cos its cheaper. I'm just a total cheap skate, lol:~)

Crickey yes all the time :D
You stick equine on lots of things and it shoves the price up so where I can I will buy something that would work as a horsey thing instead
An example is a blue water butt I was given(you can buy them for hardly anything) which I then cut it down to make a very large, tough and slightly flexible water bucket for the field, it holds 5 20/25litre containers of water and it was a lot cheaper then the large water buckets at the horsey shop :D
I also have a filing cabinet which houses pretty much all my stuff including my saddle

The best one was a high-viz jacket with protective panels in the shoulders, back, elbows etc. I had seen some nice 'equestrian' jackets for about £200, with protective bits in and I thought 'that looks like OH's biker jacket' - so I had a look on ebay and got a ladies biker jacket for £30! It is waterproof, windproof, has a removable quilted liner! Everyone even says it looks good :D
