Now I know this sounds very bad looking for a free puppy site, but the thing is my fam are looking for a dog we want to adopt but we don't want an older dog because we won't know its full back ground and we don't want to buy a puppy because I personaly feel guilty to buy one wen they are ones needing homes. This all sounds odd but we are big dog lovers and would love one but don't know any where to look any ideas, we live in chingford so east london would be best area.

Thanks x

I don't think you will find anywhere with free puppies. Rescue centres will have pups but nearly all of them charge an adoption fee, often around £100. Have a look at Dogs Trust website, not sure where your nearest kennel will be.

Battersea. ALL dog rescues have pups in on a regular basis.
No such thing as a free puppy though, be it in rescue or advertised privately!

As suggested you will be lucky to find one for free...we charge £100 for all adoptions, because we vax, chip and recall young puppies back to be neutered....infact these days we rarely let them go b4 being neutered so sadly means hanging on to them that bit longer, but not worth the risk.

look at reputable rescue sites, but expect to pay a donation rescues don't run on fresh air.

The rescue centres are usually a good idea.most will have pups though their will most likely be a larger selection of older dogs..

..although an adoption fee is required the cost of the fee is often less then going to the vet to get the vaccines and neutering done...

and at least you know the money is going towards helping other needy dogs rather than into someones pocket as a reward for backyard breeding or not bothering to get their dog neutered...

If your concerned about temperment of an older dog you could always try some of the breed rescues..
they sometimes have dogs coming in from family situations that didnt work out due to problems with house rental and pets, moving abroad or an elderly owner death. so they have the dogs history already and can tell you things like if their good with kids or cats etc..
