It will be worth it - Outshine was the only thing that put weight on mine without the silliness. Plus it is balanced with the vits E so all that oil and linseed wont cause any other problems (plus my horse actually eats it - hated oily tea!) I actually think it is cheaper than buying linseed and oil all the time (and a lot more convenient!)

My feed store is cahrging over £40 a bag but I get it for £30 from surrey equestrian online and order all my other feed from there as well as cheaper. Still works out better value than my feed supplier despite the courier and means I dont have to keep going to feedstore (less petrol costs for me)

OUCH!!! But saying that, my last bag of Bailey's LoCal was £24. When I started feeding it, it was £17......

Personally, I feed rolled oats and supermarket sunflower oil for added shine and sparkle.......cheaply!

Bought a bag last week for £37.50! My boy needs to put some weight on. He wouldn't TOUCH IT! Persisted for days. In the end, another livery bought it off me for £30. Gutted!

BLIMEY!! we are selling it at £36 ish AND with £5 off a bag while stocks last!! we are based in sussex BTW

I am luck, having my horse at a feed merchants, I about £30 for my last bag. I love Outshine, it really works, I feed soya oil and linseed last year but T's coat is looking so much better on Outshine this year.

falcon horse feeds do a fantastic product called omega rice. ive found it gives better results than the outshine and you only need to feed a tiny amount so works out more economical too! i used it last year to put weight on a sugar intolerant ex racer, but now have all my young m&m ponies on it as even fed in tiny amounts to natives gets them in perfect show condition with mirror like coats after only a couple weeks

Slightly highjacking this thread but what do you all feed for coat/skin condition if your horse is prone to being a bit of a porker!? My young bay mare (rising 5) never seems to shine quite like I think she should and her skin isn't the best. She is worked six days a week for at least half and hour so burns plenty off and is currently being fed pasture mix (not the recommended amount due to chub issues) moli and vitamin suppliment.
