Do you know my pony Molly, she was nameless and very nervous when I bought her from a dealer in Cheshire about 4 years ago. She is about 14.1hh and is bay but does get lots of grey hairs in her coat towards the end of summer which makes her almost bay roan. She has had a bad injury to her front offside leg, just above her hoof - my vet believes she may have cut it on wire and it's gone right through to the bone but we're not 100% sure. I believe she was well looked after and well trained before I got her, although she can be difficult to catch sometimes. She is really well behaved in every other way and very loving. Her front hooves were in very bad condition when I got her, dry cracked and crumbling - they also grow much faster than her back feet but this could be due to her injury. I would love to know what she did in her previous life before I met her and I would also like to know who her parents are or if she is registered. I think she is New Forest as this is what she looks like but it may not be true. Any info is appreciated. She is in a very loving, permanent home now.

what sort of callous build up does she have on her off fore from her injury?

that would be a good pointer to identification...as would any other scars etc....

I'm not sure if it it clear in this pic, haven't got any better ones showing it. It's like a raised scab. She also walks on her heel on that foot. Although this could be irrelevant as I have been told that her injury happened with the dealer...not sure how true this is.

ETA she seems to have no other visible scars, just a splint on her off fore.

None at all. I really want to breed from her before she gets too old and obv would rather register the offspring as a full NF instead of part-bred.

She is very sweet, is how I ended up with her, she was supposed to be going for meat and was being fattened up but I fell in love with her and bought her for meat money.

i think, as you have no idea about her breeding, i'd just go with a very decent NF Stallion and register any off spring as PB..you'd still get a decent price for them....

It is probably what I will end up doing as I don't want to leave it too late and have been searching for 4 years!

Thanks for the advice!
