Just wondering, as I currently have a cat attatched to my leg, and today I got some shocked reactions when the dog was growling, play biting and generally being a goof with me. It's all in good nature and she's a lovely dog, would never hurt a fly! just having a bit of fun!

The cats... are just a bit evil really, but never bite or scratch too hard. There's only so much you can do to stop a cat :D

yes, quite regularly. My cat loves to play fight, we get quite boisterous with each other. I went through a period of my arms being covered in scratches and bites - he is good though, I can tell him no and he will stop biting!

Play fight with the puppy too, although she is not allowed to growl, but she is very gentle with her teeth.

With my cat - yup! I stopped a while back for a bit but she got annoyed and kept coming up to me and hanging round my ankles/hands and biting me so I gave in and she's happy again :p
But never with the dog! He's too big and sees my young cousins a lot so can't risk him seeing it as acceptable behaviour tbh

yes but i have a key word when she gets too boistrous which is "control" (stop what your doing and listen - i use it for a few situations really)!!

i do play fight/she play bites my arms (dog)!! but i trust her 100% and she knows the boundaries :)

OH and I play fight with Murphy, it can get very rough but he knows the boundaries. He knows he isn't allowed to play with the children like this, he will use his teeth on OH (he is careful with them though) but knows not to with me. Had the children lived with us when we got Murphy then we would never have played like this with him but he does know the difference and is very loving and protective of the kids.

Yes all the time, it's really easy to get the dogs to play fight as they are always "on". I always have, I used to playfight with my lab/springer bitch as a 4/5year old - she'd drag me round the room by my arms!! :D

With a ragga or old sock but I don't roll about on the floor with them. The terrier's so fast that it would be unfair to encourage rough play and then reprimand if he accidently nipped me. :)

No- but the Oh does, hence he is permanently covered in bruises. I have told him to stop the game the moment it gets to rough, but does he listen? does he heck
