Do you search online or magazine?

As it says really, am about to place advert (with H&H!) and wondered if most people just look online now, or if the magazine still plays important part (although guess it's a biased opinion as we are all clearly online people!). If anyone can let me know their success of one over the other that would be great (hope I am not asking anything 'illegal') :):)
 
I sold a horse at the end of the summer and had alot of response from horsemart a few from horse and hound online but was surprised to get alot of calls from the magazine when it came out, it isnt that much more to put it in the mag and personally i got a very good amount of calls from it.

I think there are some people who dont go online so you would be cutting out this group of people, i would put it in the mag as well because your ad goes down the list very quickly once placed online but in the magazine if a buyer has bought that weeks it will be easy for them to find and see your ad.
 
PC online website was very good, and generated hundreds of phone calls initially. You move down the list over the month, so phone calls peter out. Very good value and useful.

H&H website was good - allowed lots of photos. Magazine was what sold the one that I sold this year - people always look at the classified, and the lady who bought my mare went back to look through previous weeks H&H when she found my horse...

If I was looking I would look online, but would definately look in the magazine. When I was looking for my main horse, I bought Horsedeals magazine too.
 
I found my first horse through horsemart, my second through a friend and the third through a tackshop notice board, just shows IMO that all the ways of advertising work :)

I wonder if it is the value of my horse that is making it quite expensive (it is 20 for online or 50 for online and in mag and even then has limited text), not sure what to do as that is quite a difference!
