Do you socialise with anyone at your yard?

Well its the yard christmas do tonight, there are 52 of us including the liveries the kids that loan and yard owner and instructors etc. all going for a meal and bowling! Now I was thinking do you know anyone at your yard away from the yard for example one of my best friends is at my yard and we met there

So anyway lets just get to the point do you socialise with anyone at your yard?

My horse shares a filed with my best friend's. With have been best friends for 12 years and met at school and have always loved horses and have been on quite a few yards together over the years!
 
No just one of my friends was saying a yard her friends horse is kept they all keep to themselves a lot of the time they barely know each others names!
 
I'm quite lucky at my yard as everyone gets on - least bitchy yard I've been too! I do tend to go out with YO every now and again and we go competing together alot...
 
yes I do. I also keep in touch with everyone off old yard and went out with them for Cristmas do on Friday. I like keeping in touch with people
 
Yeah I Do. We usually have the odd yard meals and things. But I do go out with a couple of the yard quite often. I happen to be really good friends with a few people aswell.
 
My best friend of 22 years (that makes me feel old) met me at the yard we used to keep our horses. A friend I met at the last yard before I kept the horses at home now rents a room off me. I ve made loads of friends over the years with people at the yard. I think you spend so much time up there, you would have to be pretty unsociable if you didnt become friends with at least some of them.

and get on v well one family, and am on speaking/lifts home/drinks at house terms with the rest...bar one

Yep socialise all the time, there's a pub at the end of the lane, we also have a pub quiz team, go out for meals, girls nights in. I've just joined this yard and they've made me feel very welcome.

Also regularly have dinner with or go out with a few off the yard.

Oh and yeah nearly forgot my housemate I met at the yard and we have shared a house for about 3 years now, oh yeah and I have stolen one of her horses

Only with one person, but we've were friends ages before we kept out horses at the same yard. There's only a few of us, and I really can't imagine us all socialising together!
 
Yes.

Am on a massive yard & am very lucky because I get on o.k with most people & my OH often comes to the yard too. I go out drinking with a couple of the other girls most Thursday nights. A group of us are off into town on Satuday night for a bit of a 'Cristmas Do'.

I've made a few really good friends on yards/through horses in the past & still see lots of them.

Horses are a massive part of my social life!!

its our xmas dinner party on sat there is about 90 of us

our farrier comes plus the people who own the farm that our yard is on.

we have a barn dance aswell early summer and some other yard events.

aside from that we all socialise together in small groups. i made 3 best friends at my yard and loads of us regularly end up in the pub after riding or sometimes whilst riding in the summer

Yes, definitely - am going out with some of the girls from the yard on Friday for a few drinks.

I normally organise a Christmas do for the whole yard, but got a bit sick of the organising and then people whinging, so decided that it was more effort than it was worth.

Have met a few really good friends at this yard and old one - some of my best friends I have met through horses.

I want to be at the yard that organises the barn dance though, that sounds like fun Vicki1986!!
