Do you talk to your horse?

Poor Ty gets his ear chewed off!!!!

Although he does seem to respond when I'm wittering away to him - I do think he thinks I'm a bit odd though. Which is true I guess. x

talk constantly and sing, existing and made up songs, very badly! I seem to be in my own little world when I'm riding, and will sometimes sing about things I'm looking at out hacking, used to be even worse when I hacked out with my best friend, singing horrendous and stupid made up songs. Often get caught singing by the people in the village, like when I was singing about the bald man and kidney bean head girls (twins who really do have heads shaped like kidney beans!) when I was going past their house, and they were in the garden

Or about a man jogging past having breasts and needing a bra (!!)

I talk to my two LOADS, all the time. Especially when i'm hacking on my own i talk to them the whole way mostly about any problems i have and 9 times out of 10 i feel much happier once i've ridden

I talk to Oscar all the time usually quite high pitched if hes being a good boy and Im sure one day he will turn round and say "do shut up mum you are gonna ruin my street cred!!"

As I am tone deaf, I sing at mine as a punishment then stop when they are good.
I do talk a lot...my horse is quite a good listener (aside from when I sing, obviously, when she finds it excruciating!)

only when not many people around though!

He he how funny! I do not stop talking or singing or making my boy do aerobics routines with me. Yup mad too. I had a lesson once where he just kept bolting and my instructor had me singing twinkle twinkle little star, worst part was it was in another yards school! BUt it helped!!

All the time. It's so nice that they don't argue with you!!

Rosie can understand some English: 'move over', 'go back', 'stand still', 'g-a-l-l-o-p'!!

Inka understands: 'Come here'; 'what's that'? (a treat), 'what's this'? (a treat), 'where is it'? (the treat)!!!!

He tends to ignore: 'Get OFF my bl**dy foot'; 'ouch, don't head-butt me you little bu**er' and 'no, stop it, don't do that...aagghh'!!!!!!!!!!!

i always tell bear all my problems!! poor horse! i sing to him also when im alone and theres no-one around, i have been caught out a couple of times and it IS very embarressing!!! who cares anyway he listens to me!!! (well he flicks his ears at me and grunts!!!!)
