Actually, I could no believe how big he is getting, and so fast
, get him a length of vet bed, it will last forever, I have just ordered sh!t loads, I love it, it's easy to clean and takes up less space, good to lie on in front of the fire with the dogs
We have some vet bed too. Im just soft and like to think he can curl up comfy!! We have just bought the biggest crate we can for the bedroom ( nearlly bigger than our bed, OH has threatened to lock me in when im naughty
) and bought a really big doggy cushion for the bottom of it!!
He just likes to sleep in this bed now when im on the computer!!

*CALA* goes to remove Alfie, before he starts paying the mortgage himself and kicks Mr and Mrs Skinkerstonker out for the double bed ans no queuing for bathroom on a morning
LOL. I bet if you buy him a bigger one he will still prefer that one. Mine are always trying to get in the smallest bed available and overhang in every direction. I sympathise with the crate, Evies is huge (2 GSDS fit in it ), and whereas I hope to discard it eventually she really does treat it as her sanctuary so am loathe to do so.
