Understatement of the year!! Bless him, he really didn't understand why he had to jump, he'd much rather being doing shoulder-in

Did he enjoy it? Cappy is not much of a jumper, but he loves it. He gets all excited when we get his jumping boots out and is on his toes all the way to the arena. So if your lad enjoyed it fine stay with it and have fun.

TBH He was not looking good over the jumps, but if that was his first session and he was unsure what he needed to do then I would say give him some more time.

FDC - yes, first time doing this. We've popped over a couple of little logs in the woods but that's about it! He's not exactly bred or trained for jumping so I'd have been surprised if he did look good He's a quick learner and seemed to enjoy himself, plus some pole work building up to small grids should help strengthen him for dressage (and keep him interested!) so we'll certainly keep at it for now.
