Do you think she's trying to tell me something?

I have had Ellie on loan for 6 months now. She has been getting fitter and healthier during that time.

Last week her owner said she was going to give her to me on the 20th this month when she takes Chad back.

Last Sunday she became lame. This morning she was much better and I was looking forward to riding tomorrow. This evening she is lame on her offside hind and has obviously been hooning around the field as she has a cut on the skin where the top of her leg meets her body (if that makes sense!).

Do you think I should send her back too? I'm not going to get much riding done on her at this rate

By the way, I would NEVER send her back - my OH would never forgive me and we both love her to bits

Too right, she's heard the news and is being far too over confident....you need to regain the upperhand by reminding her that you still have the power to send her back should you wish and she should bear that in mind!
