no gamgee with fleece'polo wraps'. Having first used the fleece one in polo years ago we have only ever had the bandage with no gamgee, for this reason i always get the longest bandages ,using lots of light turns[ie not too tight ]as this provides the 'padding' and then on the way up put a litlte more pressure on using half covering turns[ie each wrap upwards covering half the width of the bandage] always making sure to use evn pressure.
always bandage in pairs ie fronts and then backs .
I will never use fleece bandages for stable bandages , always use long knitted type and always with gamgee.
elastic bandages always with gamgee.
Have seen a lot of bandaging marks when i have been on ground jury duty where polo fleece wraps have been used for stable bandages with no gamgee.
Sorry long winded but its an interesting question

I used to just wear polo bandages but i now use then with gamgee underneath after a horse bruised his tendon by striking himself through the polo bandage. Also stops the sand from going in a bit more.
Like Nailed, I never use elastic bandages - should be banned!

Ive always used polo wraps straight to the leg without gamgee. Think it is just one of those subjects where everyone has different opinions and experiences of it.
