I'm selling my pony and the people who saw him today are having him on trial and are keen to buy...

But when you sell your horses do you worry about them being looked after properly in their new home? I know its probably silly and once he's gone i cant to anything but i know i'll be really worried... thanks

I'd worry more about them breaking him while he's on trial to be honest. Make them pay in fulll and have him vetted prior to taking him away.

you are not being silly i know how it feels if you sell him ask if you can go and visit him then you will know how he is doing!!!!!!!!!!!!lol

Ask them to keep in contact.

I sold my pony in march and the new owners text me whenever anything exciting happens (show results, where to see pics of her ect.) Its great, really stops me worrying about her. It also means they can ask me for advice on things (what feed to give her over winter ect.)

both my horses owners still keep in touch one of which i swaped for my little mare so i get updates on her and they get updates on my boy ive had my mare 5 years now and im still in touch with her old owners who came and visited her last year

I think you just need to make sure your happy with where the ponies going and if its on trial and you aren't happy at least you can decide not to sell to them
