Use gamgee or something of the sort underneath exercise bandages? I've bought some polo wraps for Toto and on the front of the packaging it showed a piccy of a horse wearing the said bandages as stable bandages without gamgee underneath. Does it matter if you don't use it?

You're better to use it, if the polo bandages don't have their own stuff attached (some do).
Many injuries to legs are actually caused by uneven pressure in bandages.
