Do your Children share your passion?

I never went near a horse after the age of 11,but managed to produce 2 pony obsessed girls who have ridden from the age of 4.We have 2 ponies at home now and I take them out riding every day and to PC.I rarely ride myself, although I love having them,I'm really not bothered by riding. My husband is allergic to horses, but has got a bit of tolerance to knobberpony over the years. He can't groom them and suffers if we go to an indoor rally because of all the unfamiliar horse dust, but otherwise comes with us whenever he can.We don't wear joddies or horsey clothes in the house though.

My cousin rode all her life, but none of her children are interested.

All 4 of my daughters learnt to ride but only 1 continued with it. It's lovely hacking out with her etc. My daughter has ME and having a horse gave her a purpose to get out of bed even if it was for 10 minutes (she was virtually bedbound for 2 years). I owe a lot to horses:)

My LO loves being at my friends yard with her own little shovel and broom. She loves playing in the mud, helping carry buckets and fill haynets. She also likes sitting on one the horses and he is well behaved around her (usually a ****). She never in a field with them or on yard when their are on yard as its bit risky but when she older I will let her help lead in and groom. She loves being outside playing in mud and puddles

Mine are a mixture. Eldest is horribly allergic to horse hair so no longer rides. Next one down works with horses full time. Younger two enjoy horses / riding but are not passionate about it. They tend to ride only at weekends and are not involved in day to day care although they each have a horse / pony. One is more interested in riding and the other is just as happy grooming and fussing over her pony.
