:rolleyes:So I'm currently installed on the sofa with my blanket and pillow and Gerard Butler on the TV, 'cause I'm not well and I'm feeling sorry for myself :( - invited my Goldie up with me for a cuddle (please note: she only EVER comes up when she is invited and she gets down as soon as she's asked!!!! And its not caused any dominance problems etc (I have seen this too many times, people treating their dogs as equals and causing problems) before I get slaughtered hehe).
And she's lay behind me, fast asleep, and every so often she'll wriggle, push me a bit further off the edge of the sofa, sigh and go back to sleep...!

Its such a comfort having her cuddled into me when I'm not well :) but I do wonder sometimes, if this sharing a sofa thing is equalled out between us?!

Oh I know I'm slightly worried now as I want a drink!!
She's crying and twitching now bless her! :o:)

ETA dog cuddles should be on the NHS, they're better than painkillers!

"Excuse me, how can you expect me to sleep with this 'small amount' of space?!?! And HALF a cushion?!" Cruel mum, much???

If I get up off the sofa, I invariably find a certain spangle on the warm bit when I get back. However, he has learned to move himself sharpish when told to, since the time that he refused to move and got sat on...:D

THINK???? More like "know"! But mine tuck themselves in to various nooks and crannies around me whether I'm seated or laying down or eeep, trying to WALK! And kitchen duties always have doggies tucked in hovering.

And I totally agree they should be on teh NHS. Best remedy ever.

:eek: Poor Henry, what that little mite has to cope with! :p

My spangle used to huff and sigh if she thought we were up too late... It was a blatant "go to bed!!" huff too... was like being told off at school for being naughty! :o

Oh and OP - I originally read that as you had Gerad Butler on your sofa, I was most impressed! :D

My little Murphy dachshund crtainly thinks he owns th place. so funny he hates when there is hilarity, loudness, swearing, any silly behaviour he gets vry upset and goes into a frenzy..however he is also the best thing since sliced chocolate cake i dont know what i'd do without my wee smurf :D x

Sorry.....I dont understand.....I thought the back of a chair was designed for a dog to lie across?????

Spangles have a rule....why stand when you can sit, why sit when you can lie, why use the floor when theres a perfectly good chair available!

Oh she 100% rules the roost lol! Beyond spoilt!! She shoves you off the sofa, if you dare sit on he chair she cries and paws you till you move!! When she's outside wanting to come in, if you dont let her in after her first door scratch the poor door gets hammered until you let her in! She spreads herself over the whole bed! The list is endless!! So its safe to say her ladyship does as she pleases and is overly spoilt, but I dont care, I love her to death and she keeps me sane :D

Oh wow NN, I too would be SO impressed...dogs would DEFINITELY be resigned to the floor then!!!! :p

I have currently again a Goldie curled up behind my legs on the sofa - I think Goldies use the Spangle ruling too!! :D

Haha yep Bills!!
When our GSD wants to go outside (even just for a mooch) first we have a woof like "I want to go out please"
then a "I WANT to go out NOW please"
then "Let me out NOW"
then "For *******s sakes, OPEN THE BLOODY DOOR!!!!!!" she does the same when its treat time xD most amusing.
