As title really. My boy has just demolished his Himalayan salt lick which has been sat gathering dust through Summer! I'm assuming he isn't getting the minerals he needs from the grazing now and so is 'self medicating' .. Do you think this is the case? Or would you think he is lacking something else?

Yes mine does.
Hers was licked over the summer but not excessively. Today I noticed she has been going at it since she's been in for winter.

We bought gypsy one back in may, he hadn't touched it all summer so we were thinking of giving it to someone else, but as the months go on he licks it more and more. I keep turning it around so he doesn't lick the same spot else it will fall off the rope but he keeps moving it back  it will be on the floor soon, then he won't be bothered at all by it!

Yep I put mine up beginning of August when I got him and it was a rather large block too and he used it in summer months but no where as much as he does now.... its almost finished.

Soon be time to get him another one.

He has the natural himalyan style lick on a rope
